St. Bernardine Medical Center

Dignity Health St. Bernardine Medical Center was founded in San Bernardino 1931 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. It has grown into a 342-bed not-for-profit health care facility with the latest technology and offers a full continuum of services, from family care to the most advanced heart surgery, treating an average of 79,000 individuals in the Emergency Department, delivering 2,100 babies and admitting more than 15,000 patients for treatment each year.

As one of the largest heart programs in Southern California, the Inland Empire Heart & Vascular Institute at St. Bernardine Medical Center has helped define the concept of special-care units by offering everything related to heart care in one convenient location. Services offered include high volumes of complex coronary PCI, TAVR, Watchman, MitraClip, and full-scale cardiothoracic surgery. It is the regional leader in cardiac care, nationally recognized by the medical community, and known for its achievements, its innovative thinking, and its complete focus on each individual heart. Since 1960, the Inland Empire Heart & Vascular Institute has treated each patient with compassion in one of the most innovative cardiac care environments in Southern California.
