About the Noon Conference

Our noon conference covers a variety of topics that provide our residents with a complete, balanced education. 

Lectures are taught by fellows and attendings that cover subspecialty medicine and important inpatient pathologies. 

There are also special series that extend throughout the academic year.

Business in Medicine Delve into the business aspects of medicine that impact medical practice but are often poorly understood by physicians, like quality metrics, compensation based on documentation, interdisciplinary practice, and medical leadership, entrepreneurship within medicine, employer expectations, hiring practices and principles, lessons for job-seekers, and even an imbedded series on personal finance.
Simulations Series Review vignettes for the most common clinical causes of rapid responses and decide together how to tackle them. Also practice how to navigate difficult patient conversations.
Hospital Medicine Series Learn how seasoned hospitalists approach and manage some of the most common medical conditions they see.
Self-Care Become mindful of the psychosocial, mental, and physical challenges that residents face, and how to recognize and address them.
Morbidity and Mortality Review cases with unfavorable outcomes as an opportunity for corporate constructive learning about ways to keep patients and care teams healthy and safe.
Team Report Sharpen differential diagnosis, skill in recognizing diagnoses, treatment and management by going through interesting cases from hospitalized patients.
